Who We Are

Theatre Paradok are a performing arts society that aim to put on productions that are experimental without being exclusive.

As a company, we are based at the University of Edinburgh, but our members come from various universities and colleges in Edinburgh. Each semester we vote on a play, dedicate our time to it, and perform it. We stage one production each semester and appear every year at the Edinburgh Fringe. Since our conception in 2004, Paradok have performed in venues all over the city, often in places you wouldn’t expect to see theatre, and grown hugely, encompassing an ever-growing team of actors, directors, costume-makers, make-up artists, set-designers, artists, musicians, technicians and everything in between.

We thrive off the challenging and exciting. We like theatre that’s engaging, energetic and immersive. Above all, we value enthusiasm, collaboration and pure joy.
